Gerard Butler was weft strastruck working with Thandie Newton in new movie RocknRolla.

The Scottish actor -- who plays One Two, a "mobster with street smarts" in Guy Ritchie's latest gangster flick -- couldn't believe it when he found out Thandie would be his love interest in the film.

He says, "Sometimes I had to pinch myself and think, 'F***ing hell, I'm working with Thandie Newton!'"

Thandie, 35, recently revealed that she forced Ritchie to fake a sex scene between herself Butler -- because the actor was suffering from a cold.

On the day the pair was scheduled to leap between the sheets, Butler arrived on set sick - and Newton was so scared of catching his cold, she refused to kiss him.

She said, "Gerry was very unwell indeed. So I wouldn’t kiss him. Guy had to improvise. I don’t know how he coped with those problems but it ended up being one of the most brilliant scenes."

Empire has posted a brand new trailer for the Guy Ritchie movie "RocknRolla", which is set to hit theaters on October 31. The film stars Gerard Butler, Thandie Newton, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Jeremy Piven and Tom Wilkinson.

Butler stars as One Two, a street-smart mobster who has learned to play both sides of the fence, and Wilkinson is playing the lethal head mobster, Lenny Cole, part of London's old mob regime, which is quickly losing ground to the wealthier foreign mob.

When a Russian mobster orchestrates a crooked land deal, millions of dollars are up for grabs, and all of London's criminal underworld wants in on the action. Everyone from a dangerous crime lord to a sexy accountant, a corrupt politician and down-on-their-luck petty thieves conspire, collude and collide with one another in an effort to get rich quick

Newton acts as One Two's love interest, Stella, an accountant with ties to the underworld, and Elba acts as Mumbles, One Two's partner. Bridges is playing Roman, an American trying to break into the music scene in London.

British actress Thandie Newton confesses she was once jealous of actress Gwyneth Paltrow - because she matured so quickly.

The pair, now both 35, met while working on the 1995 period drama Jefferson In Paris - and Newton admits she was stunned that someone her own age could be as self-assured as Paltrow.

She says: "I remember when I first met Gwyneth Paltrow, we were both 21 and working, and she was just this luminous, effortlessly cool young woman. And I was so incredibly self-conscious and shy. I was for a long, long time. And we were so similar and yet so different.

"And she just felt so entitled. She had an entitlement about her which I didn't have. I mean, look, it's complex, all kinds of reasons. But that's what I'm talking about."
